Our company story is unusual, in an exciting way — we’re trailblazers with a passion for emerging technologies. Founded in 2013 as the first consumer-VR devices were in development, High Fidelity built the first social VR platform and created groundbreaking immersive experiences experienced by people from around the world. We started building the “Metaverse” before most people had ever heard the word. In early 2022, the company invested in the virtual world Second Life, which included the acquisition of High Fidelity’s metaverse IP and team of experts.
Given the massive opportunity to capitalize on High Fidelity’s core audio capabilities to power voice communication for thousands of apps and games, the company now focuses solely on audio technology. Today we’re a well-capitalized startup building next-generation spatial audio solutions that make the apps people use every day more engaging and delightful by delivering the most immersive and natural sound experience. Our Spatial Audio technology is currently used by tens of millions of people a week in applications like Clubhouse, Vatom, and Breakroom.tech. Our small but mighty team comprises seasoned-startup veterans, including audio engineers and streaming media pioneers, who have deep expertise in immersive audio.
We are looking for passionate and dedicated JavaScript Engineer to join our team and lead the development of High Fidelity’s Spatial Audio Javascript SDK using the latest technological practices and methods. You should demonstrate exceptional problem solving, software architecture design, and programming skills and be able to craft an easy-to-use JS-WASM SDK.
